As part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme Buckinghamshire Council provide free holiday activities and a healthy hot meal for children in Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Funded by the Department for Education the Council team up with local charities, schools and organisations and are able to provide thousands of places for eligible children & young people over the summer holidays.
Cllr Richard Gaster said, “This scheme enables children to pick up a new skill whether it be football, technology, art or something else and meet up with other children too. The sessions run for at least four hours a day, running for four days per week for four weeks during the summer holidays.”
