Work is ongoing along Stocklake to relieve flooding risk for residents along the Bearbrook. Residents had contacted Cllr Mark Winn, one of the Aylesbury East team members to ask about vegetation clearance.
Mark said, "some of the Brook had been cleared last year of vegetation to improve flow and unblock the storm drains, but there was a whole section where no work had taken place. I have asked about this and its because the bank was dangerous too get to and once the clearance team got in they could not get out again. Work is taking place along the waste depot side to make this possible. Once this is completed, work will commence on clearance of the brook of the excess vegetation and to appraise options to restore the brookbed. I am plessed we have got this action to reduce the risk of flooding for residents."
