Bucks County Council have launched a consultation which closes on Monday 22nd October, with a view to close Bledlow Recycling Centre.
The consultation which started at the end of August gives residents 8 weeks to give their views on the possible closure and/or reduction of service at several sites as well as the possibility of charging for some waste that BCC don’t legally have to take, something common to many other authorities.
If the planned closure at Bledlow was to go ahead the nearest site for residents would be High Heavens in High Wycombe or Aylesbury which wouldn't have any changes to its current opening times.
Cllr Carl Etholen said, “it is so important that you take part in this consultation. Although Bledlow is the preferred site closure we have seen before what local residents in the Bledlow and Bradenham area can do.”
